Child Wise appoints new Helpline Coordinator and Program Officer

Child Wise is please to announce that Rachel Averbukh has come onboard as the Helpline Coordinator and Program Officer.  She joins us after working as an Assistant Lecturer, Teaching Associate and Research Assistant at Monash University, where she was a member of the Social Inclusion and Social Policy Research Unit. 

 

Rachel has a particular interest in the field of child protection, she is currently working with Associate Professor Philip Mendes on a research project analysing Jewish responses to child sexual abuse, including a case study of the recent Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. 

 

Rachel has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in psychology and a Masters of Social Work.  She is looking forward to the opportunity to work with a wide variety of child-related organisations.
