The 2015-16 financial year has been a busy and productive period for Child Wise. There has been significant growth in the uptake of our training programs, Child Safe Certification and Helpline services.
During the financial year, Child Wise delivered programs to 216 organisations across Australia, training a total of 3,060 people. 94% of participants evaluated rated these training sessions as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’.
Our National Child Abuse Helpline and Starting
Point received 745 calls and emails from people seeking information,
counselling and referral.
Child Wise developed a number of new resources,
including an animation, videos and booklets for professionals, parents and
children. These resources provide important information in understanding the
issue child abuse and how to prevent and respond to instances of abuse.
We have been inspired and encouraged by the
growing awareness and dedication of organisations, business and individuals to
play an active role in protecting children from harm. We look forward to
continuing to work together in 2017 to help create child safer communities.
