Online platforms provide valuable tools and opportunities for organisations to facilitate learning and communication for children and young people. However, they also present challenges that require mindful and appropriate risk management strategies in order to reduce the risk of harm, such as cyber bullying and online grooming.

Principle 8 of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations highlights that it is important to apply preventative mechanisms to reduce the risk of harm to children and young people in the physical and online environments that they engage with.

In this webinar, Ms Foster will discuss practical strategies of how to keep children and young people safe in organisations, by drawing on her cyber safety expertise and extensive experience of working with students, parents and schools around Australia. She will share deep insights about the ways social media and gaming functions and features are used to target young people online in both cyber bullying and grooming.
