We’re pleased to announce that Child Wise has officially become a social enterprise of Australian Childhood Foundation. This exciting development brings together two of Australia's leading organisations committed to advocating for the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people.
Australia Childhood Foundation and Child Wise share common goals and a long history of working with hundreds of organisations in Australia and the region to elevate child safety – the Foundation has been in operation since 1986, Child Wise since 1991.
Both organisations bring strong expertise and a track record of delivering tools, training, consultancy and accreditation services to support the sector and community in safeguarding children and young people in institutional and online settings.
Australian Childhood Foundation CEO Dr Joe Tucci says: “The move is in line with our hopes to expand knowledge and education that assists organisations to keep children and young people safe. It made a lot of sense to bring Child Wise under our umbrella and further strengthen, in a complementary way, the safeguarding services available to the community.”
Now, as part of the Foundation, Child Wise will have an even greater capacity to continue its vital work in preventing child abuse and trauma, and both organisations will further expand their reach across Australia.
The partnership between Child Wise and the Australian Childhood Foundation is a major step forward in helping to ensure that every child in Australia can grow up in a safe and nurturing environment. Together, the Foundation and Child Wise will be the driving force for delivering safe environments for children around the nation.
We invite you to stay in touch and hear the latest news and updates from Child Wise as we share more about the exciting initiatives coming soon.
